I’m licensed in the state of Connecticut, town of Southwick, Ma.,and insured by the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), in addition to being national certification from the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).
I received my training in the art and science of Massage Therapy from Connecticut Center of Massage Therapy (CCMT) in Newington, Ct. My studies consist of the following bodywork modalities; Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Shiatsu, Energy Balancing, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, plus the sciences of Anatomy & Physiology, Kinesiology and Pathology, along with Business Ethics. I completed the Massage Therapist Program in December of 2002.
Since 1981, I’ve always had an interest and desire to learn what I could about complementary healthcare modalities, in regards to nutrition, proper diet, exercise and enhancing my overall well-being. Reading, researching, self-education, trial and error, and looking within myself, have proven to be very valuable tools throughout my life, when making knowledgeable decisions concerning my overall health - mentally and physically. I’ve always enjoyed sharing the information I’ve gained over the years with family and friends and folks in general who had an interest in applying complementary modalities to their lifestyle and working along with their doctor(s). Eventually, my desires and interest created the need, to seek a professional career in the complementary healthcare field. After extensive research and speaking with other professionals, who worked with complementary health, Massage Therapy field became my choice.
My professional and personal growth in the Massage Therapy/Bodywork field, will now be an extension of my desires and interest, to improve ones overall well-being and health. My continued education will be a life long commitment to insure quality care. My clients, family, friends and the folks who I cross paths with, are some of my best teachers. When given the opportunity to serve them , each one helps to broaden my knowledge with their unique health concerns and needs. The Massage Therapy field has fulfilled my personal desires and interest on a professional level, while allowing me to share its' wonderful benefits with others, through nurturing therapeutic touch.
